Emily - again.

I wanted to try out some new backdrop paper I got and our ice day was the perfect opportunity. I also wanted to get some practice with it because I had a session scheduled for this coming Saturday. That was cancelled today - really kinda bummed, but I am more concerned about my client. She had emergency surgery today. I really hope she recovers soon and then maybe we can rebook.

I took quite a few different shots of Em - and of course like any proud Mom - I will more than likely post a few of them. I gotta say I am proud of both of my girls - Kylie has seemed to capture my love for teaching and children. She is going to make one heck of an early childhood - grade4 teacher when she finishes school. And Em - not only is she one heck of a model, but has also captured my love for photography.

Add to that a husband whom does nothing but support and love me - and I am extremely blessed .

We had freezing rain most of the day yesterday. Luckily the ground was warm enough we didn't have too many issues on the roads - just a few slick bridges and overpasses. The trees were so pretty though - the ice did build up on them.

JenniferD > June 3, 2009 The last dance recital photo - I promise. I just finished processing and editing the final ones this afternoon.

This is the very last pose of the very last dance in both recitals - taken from the finale, which was a tribute to the Beatles. This is Emily's jazz team. All of the jazz teams dance together during the finale.

JenniferD > September 27, 2009 SHE MADE IT!!!!

Proud Mom moment here. Yesterday Emily went to the call-back auditions for the Moscow Ballets Nutcracker. They were calling the girls back in twos to dance again in front of the Russian instructor. There were a few girls she had remembered enough that they did not have to audition again. Emily was one of them. She has a part dancing in The Coffee Dance (arabian). There will be 5 performances the weekend of November 20th, 21st and 22nd at the Majestic Theater in Dallas. I am so proud of her. She starts rehearsals next Saturday
JenniferD > July 30, 2009 Tall grasses (landscaping - not the weeds we need to pull ;) ) by our pool. The background is the water from the pool.

Update - I got an email back from Seamus with Smugmug. He was able to restore ALL of my 2008 daily photos WITH THE COMMENTS AND PHOTO RANKINGS! I am incredibly impressed and can not thank him enough. What a fantastic organization smugmug is. Thank you thank you thank you - from the bottom of my heart. :)
**************************************************************************************

I am kicking myself big time today. I went to move all of my 2008 daily gallery (sorted by month) into one large gallery that covered the entire year. Well I thought I had them moved over and that I was deleted an empty gallery - turns out I deleted the gallery I had just moved everything into. So I lost all of my comments and photo rankings that I had worked so hard to get in the past few months.

I was able to put all of the photos back up since I had all of them but I am really just heartbroken over losing all of your comments. They have meant so much to me.

I emailed smugmug - to see if there was any way to get them back, but I would be so incredibly surprised. I have resigned myself to the results of my stupid mistake.

Oh well.
